Nope I don't live in Asia.. I live in the United States but I'm Asian! I can tell you though that most all schools in asia are very stict and have uniform dress codes.

Thanks for reply and Ive heard about it. But it isnt a major problem you just can survive that. I still focuss on it to study in the future in Asia. But very difficult for me is the most of the studies are on university so. If someone has some more information , please put a reply.

I just rea;ized I did went to school in asia cos I lived in Indonesia which is still asia dress codes are strict all girls wears skirts and guys short pants and if u forgot to bring bboks teacher will hit u or make u stand in front of class no sitting and u have to cut ur nails every monday or teacher will lhit ur hands w/ an 100 cm ruler and no nail polish. its close to what they had in taiwan or place like that yeah

arhhh! ouchy well, i don't wear nail polish so yer, but short fingernails... i forget to cut them down alot >.<

haha yeah sometimes I forgot so in the morning I cut my nails with scissors hah i thurts and I firgit once ane got hit and had to stand in front of class. also if u wear a skirt my friend always pulls up my skirt so guys can see also when u change for pe guys ppeek at the girls ugh

ew gross, guys peek?? haha i remember when i first started highschool and in the changeroom, u gotta change in front of everyone for p.e, and i was standing there thinking, whaaaaat?? haha, it was awkward.. >.<

Hey, i am Helen also 17, i don't go to school in asia but my cousins and friends do. i can tell you right now that it is only high school that is strict. College/university is a lot easier. that is what you are going to study right? which here in the U.S. high school is easy and college/university is hard. but at the same time it is hard to get into. if you have any questions that i can answer feel free to ask.

LET ME TELL YOU. MUAHAHA. S'pore schools are stricter I guess.

Firstly, short hair. Or tie the mop up. (and it's a mop once it touches your collar. Ugh, huh.)
Secondly, Blouse. Oh tuck the damned thing in, the teachers say.
Thirdly, Skirts. (GIRLS) Nothing above knee length, dears.
Fourthly, Pants. (BOYS) Elementary and Lower Junior high (secondary) shorts. Upper Junior High (upper secondary) and Senior High, Long pants. And NO funky belts, please.
Fifth(ly?), Socks. No ankle socks, please. And YO, they MUST BE WHITE. Unless that particular school wants black.
Sixth, shoes. WHITE. Black if your school requires. Or some schools (like mine) black is for prefects.
Seven, NO nail polish and NO long nails. Or off, with your head. (:

That's pretty much it but hey. I break like 90% of these rules? They don't really care once you're in junior high. But College, or university, is YEAH. Freedom. Unless you're in Polytechnic, no need to know what that is I don't think western countries have polys.
