Chinese New Year Celebrations at Support Fahrenheit Hello everyone at
Support Fahrenheit, I hope your holidays went well! In Taiwan (and the rest of China), preparations are being made for Chinese New Year.
The Chinese New Year festival traditionally starts on the first day of the year following a lunar calendar. If my memory serves correct (and please do say if it is wrong), the year 2008 - the year of the
pig rat - will first come around February 7th. (For more information, check it out on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year)
Naturally, I think we should catch this opportunity and brainstorm things we could all do as members of SF to celebrate this event, and send a CNY gift to Fahrenheit to show our support!
Suggestions are greatly appreciated!
My ideas:1) Someone with Photoshop skills could make a collage of photos sent in by every member from SF, and we could print it out and send it to the group using the address that can be found at the HIM Music (their label) website.
2) We could all make paper flowers (plum blossom, narcissus, chrysanthemum...) and send them to a collective area for
those to be sent to Fahrenheit.
3) Everyone draws a koi (like a Chinese goldfish) and cuts out a photo of their head onto it, and writes a cute message on the body of the fish. These are all sent to a collective area, where they well be glued onto a board and sent to Fahrenheit.
Like the saying goes, two heads are better than one --
please come up with more suggestions and brainstorming! I am hoping to have suggestions coming in for the next week or so (we don't have much time left...mail takes a long time because the SF members are all very spread out) and then creating a poll so we can vote for the best idea.
JIAYOU SUPPORT FAHRENHEIT!
Edits: Changed the image to the adorable real-life head but cartoon-body Fahrenheit members!
Also, I made a mistake, 2008 is the year of the
RAT; 2007 was the year of the pig...smart me.
